Attended
To say I was awe struck would be a grand understatement. It is very rarely that I walk out of a gallery saying out loud “that was amazing, that was amazing!”
Today I visited Soho’s brand new gallery Pertwee Anderson & Gold to check out their inaugural show from Norwich born queen of feathers Kate MccGwire. Never before have I seen an artist’s work and the gallery in which it’s being exhibited marry so harmoniously. The gallery building is a beautiful thing in it’s own right but with MccGwire’s undulating sculptures and quietly revealing framed pieces so sensitively lit it became something else altogether. Inspirational, involving and incredibly beautiful I couldn’t recommend a visit to this any stronger. Definitely a gallery to watch out for.
Kate MccGwire – Host runs at Pertwee Anderson & Gold until the 24th March.
