Attended

Ahead of the grand opening tonight I was invited to the press launch of  Pertwee Anderson & Gold’s latest show  “Un-Think” by American-born Anglophile Nancy Fouts. This is only the second show from the Soho based gallery and with their inaugural exhibition of Kate MccGwire’s “Host” being so good there were some huge boots to fill – boots Un-Think fills with lashings of playful curiosity, dark humour and a wry innocence to fantastic effect.

As with MccGwire’s show the gallery has been sensitively re-painted to marry with Fout’s installation seamlessly,  allowing her poetically juxtaposed objects to draw you into their intricate world.  I have purposefully not shown all the work from the show, including the incredible grandfather clock, so as not to give too much away before it opens to the public tomorrow. However if you are in the area, or even if you’re not, I implore you to go check it out.

Nancy Fouts – Un-Think runs at Pertwee Anderson & Gold until the 12th of May.
