Recollection

Stumbled across this stunning music video for ‘Keep Shelly in Athens‘ by Directing duo Lamar + Nik.

Akin to what I believe there’s something really satisfying about the fact that in all of their video’s, they practically make everything with no CGI involvement what so ever. Beautiful!

Just Seen

I have been a huge fan of Sam Hofman‘s work for a few years now and I have also had the pleasure of collaborating with him on a couple of projects this year.

So I thought why not share the love and let you revel in his work too. Enjoy!

Binary Prints

We’ve all been there, you have an idea for a technique, you keep it on the back burner to mull it over for a while until you’ve refined the overall idea to be the best it can be, then leave it for a while and totally forget about it.

Then since you’ve left it for so long you see a project that encapsulates everything you had planned and then some, all done in what can only be described as an amazing execution.

Illustrator & Designer Alex Trochut has created these wonderful series of portraits titled Binary Prints, where he’s collaborated with some of the world ‘premiere electronic musicians of our time’ along with photographers Chris Rubino & Marc Ambros.

‘Trochut called on James Murphy, Caribou, Four Tet, Damian Lazarus, Acid Pauli, John Talabot, Lucy and others to create a series of portraits that explore people behind the music…These nocturnal portraits “wake up” in the dark, just as Djs “come alive” a night, as do audiences under the spell of their music.’

The prints will be available to buy online soon with 30% of the profits going to charities chosen by the individual musicians.

Music Video

A few weeks a go saw my site get updated with a whole bunch of new work, but there is one particular project I wanted to make a post about today as it sees me take a bit of a departure from the illustration and design work I’m more known for.

So here I present my sci-fi and space themed official music video I directed for ‘Ursa Minor’ by Tired Arms, taken from their debut self titled E.P on Motive Sounds Recordings.

Now available to download from iTunes and well worth a listen.
